DIY Denim Jacket

My sister went out and bought some fabric a while back and altered her denim jacket to make it look it bit more snazzy. It looked so good once she'd finished that I copied her. She's really going to love that. I've only altered the pockets slightly, but it makes an otherwise ordinary Topshop jacket just that tiny bit more fun.
It's really very simple to do as well. The Broderie Anglaise cost me £2 for half a metre in a haberdashery in York. I cut a piece to roughly the size I wanted and pinned it into place, then using a needle and invisible thread I sewed round the edges to fix it into position. I was worried I might have trouble with the button holes, but all I had to do was turn the flap over and push the scissors through the already existing hole in the jacket. Once I'd made that cut, I sewed around the new button hole to keep it from fraying. Lastly, I cut the excess material off from round each pocket, and voila! A fabulous new denim jacket and it hardly cost me a penny.

Today I smiled at all the old people I saw. And only one of them smiled back! I might not bother in future...

Sexy new kicks

Some of my favourite nails since I've been away

I do love a bit of glitter

Probably my favourite of the bunch.
Ombre glitter.

Purple Ombre.
I really seem to love ombre at the moment.

I realise I haven't posted for a while, but some boys I know took the piss out of me for my last couple of blogs and I got a bit offended and took it to heart. I was basically worried about writing more posts and getting the piss taken out of me more. Anyway, I'm back. And I've decided I really don't give a crap about what anyone thinks.
