It's really very simple to do as well. The Broderie Anglaise cost me £2 for half a metre in a haberdashery in York. I cut a piece to roughly the size I wanted and pinned it into place, then using a needle and invisible thread I sewed round the edges to fix it into position. I was worried I might have trouble with the button holes, but all I had to do was turn the flap over and push the scissors through the already existing hole in the jacket. Once I'd made that cut, I sewed around the new button hole to keep it from fraying. Lastly, I cut the excess material off from round each pocket, and voila! A fabulous new denim jacket and it hardly cost me a penny.
